Cifru Terms of Use

Effective date: July 9, 2026

These Terms govern use of Cifru, provided by Dumitru Ionut-Madalin Dumitru. Contact: madalin@madalin.org. By using Cifru, you agree to these Terms to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

Purpose

Cifru is a configurable, read-only data viewing and workspace tool. It lets users define data sources, lists, fields, Home buttons, row buttons, widgets, data links, cache rules, and read-only views over data sources they choose.

Authorized Use Only

You must only connect Cifru to systems, accounts, databases, APIs, feeds, files, ecommerce services, object-storage locations, and other services that you are authorized to access. You are responsible for complying with your contracts, workplace policies, privacy laws, security requirements, intellectual property rules, and third-party service terms.

Read-Only Design

Cifru is designed to generate read-only requests and not to edit customer databases, APIs, feeds, files, or ecommerce systems. It does not upload cached rows, exports, or imported local files back to configured sources. You remain responsible for configuring read-only accounts and source-side permissions. Cifru cannot guarantee that every third-party driver, source, network, account, API, or server will behave as expected under all conditions.

Optional AI Configurator

The AI Configurator, if enabled, provides configuration suggestions only. It generates declarative dashboard JSON for review inside Cifru. Cifru does not execute AI-generated code, scripts, plugins, or modules. You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated drafts, warnings, and validation results before applying any configuration.

Help may also provide a separate external-AI explanatory chat when you configure an OpenAI, Claude, or Gemini key. That chat does not apply configurations and its responses may be incomplete or incorrect. Do not enter credentials, private endpoints, database rows, customer records, invoices, prices, stock values, or other sensitive business information. Provider processing remains subject to the provider account and terms you selected.

No High-Risk Use

Do not use Cifru where an error, delay, missing row, incorrect value, unavailable source, or security incident could cause death, personal injury, serious financial harm, legal non-compliance, emergency-service failure, or other critical loss.

Backups And Verification

Cifru is not a backup system, accounting authority, compliance system, audit system, medical system, legal system, financial trading system, or source of truth. Verify important information in the original source system and maintain independent backups and controls.

Third-Party Services

Cifru may connect to third-party or user-owned systems such as databases, ecommerce platforms, feeds, FTP locations, object storage, and APIs. Cifru is not responsible for third-party availability, accuracy, permissions, billing, terms, security, data practices, or changes to those services.

Subscriptions

Paid Cifru plans, if offered, are purchased through the Apple App Store as in-app purchases or subscriptions. Prices, billing period, renewal, cancellation, refund eligibility, family sharing availability, taxes, and payment method handling are controlled by Apple and the user's App Store account settings. You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple account.

Apple App Store Terms

If you obtain Cifru through the Apple App Store, Apple's applicable App Store terms and the Apple standard licensed application end user license agreement apply unless Apple requires a different applicable agreement. Apple is not responsible for providing maintenance or support for Cifru, except as required by applicable law.

Documentation And Support

Cifru documentation explains available screens, buttons, fields, source types, widgets, cache behavior, and setup examples. Documentation and support are provided for app usage, but users remain responsible for source credentials, third-party platform permissions, and source-side configuration.

Disclaimer Of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Cifru is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, availability, security, non-infringement, and error-free operation.

Limitation Of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, punitive, or business losses, including loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, contracts, opportunity, business interruption, security incidents, unauthorized access, or decisions made using displayed data.

Mandatory Rights

Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable consumer, data protection, product liability, or other mandatory law.
